The research interest of Dr. Corelius Senf lies in the modeling of forest disturbance dynamics using remote sensing data. The focus of the current research project at the Institute for Silviculture is on better understanding the multi-scale drivers of forest disturbances across Europe, from the stand to the landscape and regional scale.
Dr. Cornelius Senf holds a PhD in Geography from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, with guest stays at Universität Innsbruck and Universität Bern, as well as at the Canadian Forest Service in Victoria, British Columbia. The current project as postdoctoral researcher at BOKU is financed by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) through the Postdoctoral Researchers International Mobility Experience (P.R.I.M.E.) program.
