In 2007 he started his Bachelor’s studies "International Forest Ecosystem Management" at the HNE Eberswalde (Germany). During this time, he conducted an internship in Scotland as well as in St. Lucia.  From 2010 until 2012 he performed his Master’s studies in "Forest Sciences" at the BOKU in Vienna. His Diploma-thesis dealt with the "Variability in Austria’s forest disturbance regimes – Implications for forest management", and was supervised by Univ.Prof.DI Dr. H. Hasenauer and Assist. Prof. DI Dr. R. Seidl. In his current position at the Institute of Silviculture he is investigating forest disturbance regimes (wind and bark beetles) and their management.
